Watercolor Studies

Watercolor is the medium I go to when I need to work without an undo button. No layer palette, no version history — you commit to the wash and live with it. This set includes the flower planter study, the loose floral bouquet, the bookshelf illustration, and the framed pieces that became a full gallery wall in my home. Most were painted in single sittings; a few took several passes to build depth in the shadows. I paint mainly because it keeps my eye trained on color relationships and negative space, two things that transfer directly into digital work but are much harder to learn on a screen. When I'm stuck on a layout problem, painting something unrelated for an hour usually fixes it.
