Volunteers and Friends of the Library

Teen Summer Volunteers 

For the past four summers, I've led a group of 5-6 teens in our social media committee. I teach them professional digital marketing skills and give them hands-on experience creating content for library platforms. This program has evolved from creating TikToks in the first year to capturing event photography for social media in the second year. 

Working with teens has been an unexpected joy in my library career. I love showing them that library careers can be creative, dynamic, and fun. Many have shared that this experience changed their perception of libraries and potential career paths. 

Friends of the Library Support 

I've created videos highlighting the Friends of the Library's vital contributions, including their book sales and volunteer work. These videos raise awareness of their fundraising efforts and show appreciation for their dedication to our community. 

Volunteer Appreciation 

Creating meaningful recognition for our volunteers is a priority. I produced a YouTube video showcasing volunteer contributions and conducted interviews that captured their stories and motivations for supporting the library.
