Show Your Card

Every September, I coordinate our special "Show Your Card" campaign with local businesses. I personally visit 30+ local businesses throughout our community, building relationships that showcase the value of library cards while creating unique deals for our patrons.

This initiative connects our library with local entrepreneurs, strengthens our community presence, and demonstrates the practical benefits of library membership. I look forward to this special program every year and value my time with each partner we work with.

What makes this project special:

  • Creates a cycle of community support: businesses support the library, the library promotes businesses, and patrons support both

  • Provides real economic value to our cardholders

  • Builds lasting relationships with business owners

  • Creates engaging video content that features our sponsors and promotes their services to our community

  • Generates compelling social media content that highlights local businesses

  • Has become one of my favorite annual projects

The Show Your Card program exemplifies my approach to partnership development—transforming local businesses into valued library partners through genuine relationship building and mutual benefit. This same approach to creating lasting connections can be applied across various community initiatives.
