I'm going to be honest with you from the start: I wrote this workbook for 8 specific people.
My three siblings—who are close enough in age that they don't always take my advice seriously yet, but who I want to protect from the pain I went through. My therapist Judy— brilliant at what she does, and who recently told me, "I wish you could help me learn AI like you use it." My parents—who gave me a foundation of values through 25+ years of family business, who want to understand this AI world but don't know where to start. My partner Jeremy—who's supported me through this entire transition and deserves to have the frameworks that kept me sane. And my closest friends—who are navigating their own career transitions and need someone to say "here's what actually works."
If I never published this book, I'd still write it for them.
Because making my people's lives easier would make my soul happy.

I wrote this book because I never want my siblings to feel the way I felt when I was smiling on the outside while feeling damaged underneath—when no one could see how broken I actually was at the point I quit, or how hard the healing work would become.
The lie I believed about job searching before this year? That if I just worked hard enough, applied to enough places, and presented myself well enough, the right opportunity would find me. That job searching was about proving my worth to strangers.
The truth I know now? Job searching is about remembering your worth—and then finding organizations who already value what you bring. It's not about becoming someone you're not. It's about finding the people who need exactly who you already are.
The difference? One approach depletes you. The other approach reveals you.
This workbook documents everything I learned during an 11-month documented journey. A 14% interview rate when the industry average is 2-3%. Multiple final rounds with companies I genuinely wanted to work for. Over 1,000 meaningful LinkedIn connections. A methodology that honored both my analytical Virgo precision and my intuitive Pisces vision.

How to Use this Book

The Format: Physical ↔ Digital
Every spread in this workbook follows the same pattern:
Digital (AI Prompts) — Copy these prompts into Claude, ChatGPT, or your AI tool of choice. They're designed to help you think, not just execute.
Physical (Reflection & Tracking) — Write by hand. Engage with your intuition. Let your pen move before your brain catches up.
The Workflow:
1. Complete the physical worksheet — Write by hand, engage with intuition
2. Use the AI prompt — Copy your handwritten notes, paste into prompt, let AI reflect patterns back to you
3. Integrate insights — Add AI insights to your notes, highlight realizations, create action items
4. Repeat weekly or as needed — Track progress over time, notice patterns, celebrate growth
Why Both?
Here's what I've learned: handwriting makes goals more powerful. There's something about the physical act of putting pen to paper that commits things to your body, not just your brain.
And digital tools—AI included—amplify your reach. They help you see patterns across hundreds of data points. They hold complexity so you can see clearly. They're not competing approaches. They're complementary ones.
