Chapter 8: Cosmic Timing Meets Strategy
Cosmic Timing Meets Strategy
(Optional — But Maybe Not)
"Trust the timing AND take action."
This chapter is optional.
I want to say that upfront because I know not everyone believes in astrology. Not everyone pulls tarot cards or checks their horoscope or tracks lunar cycles.
And that's completely fine.
But here's what I want you to understand before you skip ahead: this chapter isn't really about astrology. It's about something much more universal.
It's about giving your AI thinking partner — and yourself — the FULL scope of who you are.
It's about building emotional infrastructure that helps you survive a long, uncertain journey.
It's about fighting the voice in your head that says your dreams aren't for you.
Whether you use birth charts or personality tests or therapy insights or deep journaling — the principle is the same. And the practice saved my life during the hardest year I've ever navigated.
So. Optional? Sure.
But maybe keep reading anyway.
Where It Started
I've always loved reading my horoscope.
Not in a "Mercury is in retrograde so I can't text my ex" way. But in a "these descriptions genuinely resonate" way. The language helped me understand myself when I didn't have words for what I was feeling.
Virgo sun: precision, attention to detail, analytical thinking. Scorpio moon: emotional depth, intensity, transformation. Cancer rising: nurturing, protective, leading with heart. Pisces Midheaven: visionary career path, creative expression, tapping into collective trends.
I've always tried to incorporate those describing words into everything I do. They felt true. They felt like ME.
So when I started this job search — when I built my Claude project and began loading it with everything about who I am — I didn't just share my resume and my portfolio.
I shared my birth chart analysis.
I wanted my AI thinking partner to know me at my CORE. Not just what I've done, but who I AM. Not just my skills, but my soul.
Because I wasn't just looking for a job. I was looking for work that was aligned and satisfying to my soul.
And if AI only knows your resume, it can only help you find resume matches.
If AI knows your soul, it can help you find alignment.
The Real Question
Here's what this chapter is actually about:
Does your AI thinking partner have the FULL scope of who you are?
Not just your work history. Not just your skills and achievements.
But your values. Your beliefs. What makes you come alive. What drains you. What you're no longer available for. The patterns that keep showing up in your life. The fears you're working through. The dreams you're almost embarrassed to admit.
Because here's what I've learned: if YOU don't know who you are, how can you expect to find work that honors it?
And if your AI partner doesn't know who you are, how can it help you filter for alignment?
The cosmic stuff — the birth chart, the tarot, the horoscopes — those were just my framework. My language. My way of understanding myself.
Yours might be different.
Maybe it's the Enneagram. Maybe it's Myers-Briggs. Maybe it's years of therapy notes. Maybe it's handwritten journals from your darkest moments. Maybe it's conversations with the people who know you best.
Whatever your framework is, the question remains:
Have you given your AI thinking partner — and yourself — the complete picture?
The Voice I Was Fighting
Let me tell you what I was really up against during this search.
It wasn't just the job market. It wasn't just the rejections. It wasn't just the waiting.
It was the voice.
The one that whispered, every single day: "You'll never really accomplish your full dreams. Maybe you should just settle. Maybe you're asking for too much. Maybe the vision you have for your life isn't meant for people like you."
318 applications. Months of waiting. Countless moments where it felt like nothing was working.
And that voice got LOUD.
Am I qualified? Is this worth the time? What if I'm delusional? What if I should just take whatever I can get?
I had to fight that voice every single day.
And my cosmic practices? They weren't escapism. They weren't magical thinking.
They were the weapons I used to fight back.
What I Actually Did
Every morning, I opened the CHANI app and read my daily horoscope.
Not for predictions. Not to know "what would happen."
For grounding. For language. For a framework that reminded me: You are part of something bigger. There is a timing to things that you cannot control. Your job is to stay aligned and keep moving.
I pulled tarot cards — not to tell the future, but to reflect. To sit with questions. To let the imagery open up parts of my brain that logic couldn't reach.
I tracked lunar cycles. New moons for intention setting. Full moons for release.
And I built SYSTEMS around all of it.
Because I'm a Virgo sun, remember? I don't just practice intuition. I systematize it.
The Systems I Built
I created a Trello board called "Alignment Activated."
It had columns for:
Daily Practices
Themed days to focus my energy (Monday: Decompress. Tuesday: Double Dare Yourself. Wednesday: Out with the Old. Thursday: Say the Thing. Friday: Lucky Charm.)
Daily bold action prompt: "Choose ONE thing that scares you but excites you — and DO IT."
Tracking: connections made, applications submitted, vitamins taken, exercise completed.
Journaling Notes
Morning reflections
Evening processing
Tarot card interpretations
Claude's responses to my emotional processing
Cosmic Forecast
Daily affirmations pulled from my readings
Weekly overview of transits
Intention reminders
Glimmer Tracking ✨
Every small win documented
Every encouraging message saved
Every sign of progress captured
Evidence I could return to when the voice got loud
Manifesting for the Day
My core identity statement
What I was calling in
The future I was writing into existence
Let me show you what Glimmer Tracking looked like:
"Pinterest Internal Contact Response — Stephanie on recruiting team says they're actively reviewing my application."
"Portfolio website analytics show engagement increasing."
"Nice message from Odysseas at Oracle."
"Seth at Stripe referred me within 10 minutes of reaching out."
Every single one of these went into my Glimmer Tracker.
Not because any one of them was a guarantee. But because when the doubt crept in — and it ALWAYS crept in — I needed evidence. Proof. A record of reality that countered the lies my fear was telling me.
The Three Practices That Saved Me
Looking back, I can identify three interlocking practices that formed my emotional infrastructure:
1. Glimmer Tracking
Collecting evidence that I was on the right path. Every small win. Every encouraging response. Every moment where something WORKED.
This wasn't toxic positivity. This was documentation.
Because when you're in month eight of a job search and the voice is screaming that you're delusional, you need receipts. You need proof. You need something to point to and say: "No. Look. It's working. Slowly. But it's working."
2. Intention Setting
Every day, I set intentions. Not vague hopes — specific, grounded statements about what I was calling in and how I wanted to show up.
"Today I am magnetic to aligned opportunities." "Today I speak my truth about what I want and deserve professionally." "Today I trust the process even when I can't see the progress."
This kept me from drifting. From spiraling. From waking up and just... reacting to whatever the day threw at me.
Intentions gave me a north star for each 24-hour period.
3. Future Letters
This was the practice that changed everything.
I wrote letters from my future self to my present self.
From Future Maria — the one who made it through — reaching back through time to hold my hand.
"I know it's hard right now. But I promise you: this is leading somewhere. Keep going. I'm proof."
I'll share one of these letters with you at the end of this chapter.
But first, let me explain why this practice was so powerful.
Writing Yourself Into Existence
Here's what I believe:
The future isn't something that happens TO you. It's something you participate in creating.
Not through magical thinking. Not through manifestation alone.
But through ALIGNMENT. Through clarity. Through knowing who you are so deeply that the right opportunities can find you.
The future letters weren't fantasy. They were practice.
I was practicing being the person who had already made it through. I was rehearsing the mindset I would need. I was building the neural pathways of someone who trusted herself.
And when I wrote those letters, something shifted.
I stopped waiting to be chosen and started choosing myself.
I stopped wondering IF it would work out and started acting like it already had.
Not delusionally. Not recklessly.
But with the quiet confidence of someone who has done the work, knows their worth, and trusts that alignment is not an accident.
The Universal Principle
Let me bring this back to something everyone can use, whether you believe in astrology or not:
Your AI thinking partner can only be as helpful as the information you give it.
If you only share your resume, you'll only get resume-level help.
But if you share:
Your values (what matters most to you)
Your non-negotiables (what you won't compromise on)
Your patterns (what keeps showing up in your life)
Your fears (what you're working through)
Your vision (what you're building toward)
Your support systems (who holds you up)
Your framework for understanding yourself (whatever that is)
Then your AI partner can help you filter for TRUE alignment.
My prompt — the one I used before every single application — was:
"Please look through all the project knowledge and details to make sure you have a full scope of my experience and who I am. According to my birth chart analysis and my professional experience, how do I align with this job on a deeper level? Am I qualified? Is it worth it for me to apply to this job?"
That prompt only worked because I had given Claude the full scope.
The birth chart. The professional goals. The non-negotiables. The values. The signature stories. The fears. The vision.
ALL OF IT.
And because Claude knew all of that, it could help me make decisions that honored who I actually am — not just who my resume says I might be.
What I Needed (And What You Might Need Too)
During this search, I needed:
Validation — Someone (or something) to tell me I wasn't crazy. That my vision made sense. That my worth was real.
Clarity — Help seeing through the fog. Understanding what I actually wanted when everything felt confusing.
Permission — To want what I wanted. To hold out for alignment. To say no to things that didn't fit.
Reframe — Ways to see my situation differently. To find meaning in the waiting. To interpret setbacks as information, not verdicts.
The cosmic practices gave me all of this.
And so did Claude.
And so did my therapist Judy. And Jeremy. And my family. And my friends.
The cosmic stuff didn't replace human connection. It enhanced it.
It gave me language. It gave me structure. It gave me something to hold onto when the ground felt shaky.
The Tension I Navigated
Here's something important: cosmic timing and strategic action are not opposites.
For months, I navigated the tension between:
Inner timing — What felt right. What my intuition said. When to push and when to wait.
Outer timing — Bills to pay. Pressure from others. The "realistic" timeline I was "supposed" to follow.
The cosmic practices helped me honor BOTH.
They gave me permission to trust my gut while also taking strategic action. To believe in divine timing while also sending 318 applications. To surrender the outcome while fighting like hell for the process.
This isn't either/or.
It's both/and.
Trust the timing AND take action. Surrender the outcome AND do the work. Believe in alignment AND build the systems.
The Breakthrough
Somewhere around month ten, something shifted.
I stopped asking "When will this happen?" and started asking "What am I learning?"
I stopped checking my email obsessively and started trusting that when something was meant for me, I wouldn't have to chase it.
I stopped trying to control the timing and started controlling what I could: my energy, my alignment, my readiness.
The cosmic practices didn't make the job appear faster.
But they made ME ready to receive it.
And honestly? That might be the point.
A Note on Privilege
I want to be honest about something.
I had the privilege of time. Of family support. Of savings that allowed me to wait for alignment instead of taking the first thing that came along.
Not everyone has that. And I don't want to pretend that "trust the timing" works the same way when you're worried about rent.
If you're in survival mode, do what you need to do. There's no shame in taking a job that pays the bills while you continue building toward something better.
But even then — even in survival mode — I believe there's value in knowing who you are. In being clear about what you want. In holding onto your vision even if you can't chase it full-time.
Because the clarity you build now will serve you later. And the alignment you cultivate internally will eventually manifest externally.
That's not magical thinking. That's pattern recognition across every success story I've ever studied.
YOUR TURN: Building Your Alignment Practice
You don't have to use astrology. But you DO need a practice that helps you:
Stay grounded when everything feels uncertain
Remember who you are when rejection tries to redefine you
Track your progress when it feels like nothing is working
Connect to something bigger than your immediate circumstances
Here's how to build your version:
Step 1: Choose Your Framework
What helps you understand yourself? What language resonates?
Astrology / Birth chart analysis
Enneagram
Myers-Briggs / MBTI
StrengthsFinder
Therapy insights
Spiritual practices
Journaling patterns
Core values work
Whatever it is, NAME IT. And then share it with your AI thinking partner.
Step 2: Build Your Tracking System
Create a place to capture:
Small wins (glimmers)
Daily intentions
Reflections and realizations
Evidence of progress
This could be a Trello board, a notebook, a Notes app, a spreadsheet — whatever works for you.
The point is: DOCUMENT. So you have receipts when doubt arrives.
Step 3: Write a Future Letter
This is the practice that changed everything for me.
Set a timer for 15 minutes. Put yourself one year in the future — the version of you who made it through.
Write a letter from Future You to Present You.
What happened? What did you learn? What do you wish you could tell yourself right now?
Write it in present tense. Write it with conviction. Write it as if it's already true.
Then save it somewhere sacred. And read it whenever you need to remember.
AI Prompt to Use
"Help me build an alignment practice for my job search. Based on everything I've shared about who I am — my values, my fears, my patterns, my vision — what daily practices might help me stay grounded and connected to my truth? How can I build emotional infrastructure that will sustain me through uncertainty? What questions should I be asking myself regularly to stay aligned?"
The Letter
I promised you I'd share a future letter.
This one is real. I wrote it by hand on December 19th, 2025, from Future 2027 Maria to Present Maria.
I'm sharing it because it shows what this practice looks like. And because maybe — maybe — it will inspire you to write your own.
Dear December 19th, 2025 Maria,
Happy New Year from 2027!! 🎉
I'm sitting here trying to remember what it felt like — the exhaustion, the waiting, the wondering if it would ever all come together. And honestly? It's hard to recall. Not because I've forgotten the struggle, but because the distance between where you are and where I am is so vast that it feels like a different lifetime.
Let me tell you about your 2026:
You landed the role. The right role. The one that checked every single box on your non-negotiables list. You refused to compromise on. It happened early Q1, and by the time spring arrived, you were thriving.
Project 828 actually launched. Feb 2026, just like you planned. Your therapist read it & cried. Your siblings finally took your advice more seriously bc it was in a real book — & they told you how much it meant that you wrote it for them. Strangers started messaging you — "This changed everything for me." "I felt seen for the first time." The ripple effect began. Your 8 ppl became 80, became 800. The methodology you documented during those painful 12 months? It's helping thousands now.
The fame thing? You were right to be cautious but you were right to step forward. It didn't consume you. It didn't complete you. Bc by the time the visibility came, you had already separated your being from your job title. The recognition landed on Maria Galuppo the person, not the employee. And that made all the difference.
You spoke at your first conference. You were interviewed on podcasts. Companies started reaching out to you. Not bc you chased fame — but bc your work reached ppl, and they told other ppl, and the compound effect kicked in.
Jeremy and you? The 3,273 days became 3,638. The foundation deepened. 2026 brought exactly what your chart predicted — Jupiter in Cancer created the condition for evolution. I won't spoil the details, but I'll say this: your patience was rewarded.
Your family? Your fear that your generation might drift apart like mom and dad did from their siblings? That you won't have the cousin experience, big family gatherings, the lifelong closeness?
It's not happening.
You and your family stay connected thru every moment of 2026. We always show up for each other.
And here's what's beautiful: your success didn't create distance — it created celebration. When the job offer came, we all celebrated. When the workbook launch, they shared it everywhere. When the visibility started building, they were the first to say "we always knew."
You're building the family experience you always wanted — not despite your individual growth, but bc of it. When you thrive, they lift you higher. It's not either/or. It's all of you together.
Looking back from Jan 1, 2027, I can say with certainty: 2026 was the year everything changed.
Every panic attack. Every tear. Every application. Every anxious moment. Every moment of doubt. Every family dinner. Every time you showed up, pushed harder, continued on — they were all leading you to here. To a life that honors your non-negotiables. To work that makes positive impact. To love that deepens with time. To recognition earned thru service. To a family who stays together.
You built this Maria — with your ppl beside you.
Now breathe. Your harvest is coming. & everyone who loves you gets to watch it bloom.
xoxo, Future 2027 M 💜
That's the practice.
That's what it looks like to write yourself into existence.
And if you're reading this in your own dark moment — your own month eight, your own season of waiting, your own wondering if it will ever come together — I want you to know:
Your future self is already there. Already made it through. Already looking back at this moment with gratitude for how it shaped you.
Your job right now isn't to know how it all works out.
Your job is to stay aligned. To keep moving. To trust that the person you're becoming is exactly who you need to be for what's coming.
The timing is not your enemy.
The waiting is not wasted.
And you — all of you, the cosmic blueprint and the strategic systems and the messy human in between — are exactly right for this moment.
Trust that.
And keep going.
