Event Planning & Design Lookbook
Project Overview
In October 2025, I created a comprehensive physical lookbook for my event planning and design business—a tactile showcase of how strategic planning meets creative vision to build meaningful celebrations.
This 80-page, spiral-bound lookbook demonstrates my approach to turning life's biggest moments into experiences that bring people together, honor authentic stories, and create lasting memories.
The Challenge
Event planning is deeply personal work that requires both creative vision and systematic execution. How do you communicate the full scope of what you offer—from crisis management expertise to custom design capabilities—in a way that feels approachable, authentic, and inspiring?
Traditional portfolios often feel sterile or overwhelming. I wanted to create something clients could hold in their hands, flip through at their own pace, and genuinely connect with before ever meeting me.
The Solution
A Multi-Layered Lookbook Experience:

Service Package Breakdowns: Clear pricing structures (Essential, Premium, Luxe packages) with detailed deliverables
Real Client Case Studies: Documented celebrations including the Krueger wedding coordination, bilingual baby shower book creation, and farmers market bridal shower
Professional Background Context: How my 7+ years in strategic communications directly enhances event coordination
Interactive Design Elements: Pockets containing timeline templates, shot lists, and coordination checklists
Visual Storytelling: Photography showcasing actual events I've planned, designed, and executed
Design Aesthetic: Kraft paper base with scalloped photo frames, hand-drawn elements, and a warm color palette (lavender, sage green, black accents) that feels both professional and approachable—the same tactile quality as my signature bilingual baby shower activity books.

Why This Project Matters
This lookbook represents the intersection of all my professional capabilities:
Marketing Strategy: Positioning services, developing packages, creating compelling offers
Content Creation: Writing client-facing copy that balances warmth with professionalism
Project Management: Coordinating design elements, timeline, production, assembly
Creative Direction: Visual aesthetic, layout design, tactile experience
User Experience: How does someone navigate this information? What questions arise at each stage?
It's the kind of tangible deliverable I want to create for organizations—whether it's partnership lookbooks, onboarding guides, campaign showcase books, or donor stewardship materials. The skills that made this event planning lookbook work are the same skills that build compelling brand experiences at scale.
The Result
An 80-page physical lookbook that:
Clearly communicates service offerings without overwhelming potential clients
Demonstrates design capabilities through the lookbook itself
Bridges professional background to client benefits
Creates an authentic, approachable first impression
Serves as both a sales tool and a portfolio piece
More importantly, completing this project reminded me what energizes my work: building experiences that help people connect, creating systems that remove stress from celebration, and turning vision into tangible reality.
